Darren Robertson:
Darren studied a National Diploma in Marketing at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (Cape Technikon), after that he did his Registered Person Exams (RPE) through the South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM). Darren joined The Liberty Group in January 2003 and has been a Financial Planner ever since. In 2006 he wrote his Registered Financial Planner (RFP) board exams with the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) and subsequently he went on to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP), and as such has acquired his Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of The Free State’s faculty of law, and has completed his Board Exam with the Financial Planning Institute (FPI).
Darren has always strived to set himself apart from other financial planners or advisors through education and qualifications, as well as always acting with impeccable morals and ethics, and in doing so he has always placed his clients first and this is a non-negotiable for him.
Darren is a member of the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) and subscribes wholeheartedly to their code of conduct and ethics.
Darren is a Founding Member of the South African Independent Financial Advisors Association (SAIFAA) as he believes that independent financial advice and the freedom to find the correct solution to each client’s needs is very important.
Darren is a Commissioner of Oaths as well as a Registered Tax Practitioner with South African Revenue Services (SARS), which ensures that the advice given is tax efficient.
